Tips for the Perfect Golf Swing

Tips for the Perfect Golf Swing
If your planning to take up the sport of golf (and no doubt you're already playing if you are visiting this website!), there is one thing you need to work on and that is getting the perfect golf swing.  While there are many things to take into consideration such as what equipment to use, the golf ball, wind speed and direction, etc. etc.  The golf swing will be the number one factor and will make or break your accomplishments in golf.
The tips below are very basic, but you must start at the beginning like all the other golf pros did.  Get these tips right and you can be on your way to the pro tour.
  • Know your strengths – are you in the right physical condition to achieve the perfect golf swing?  Consider the following; are you supple enough for the twists and turns needed, do you have the physical strength to put into your swing, are you able to attain the required postures and positions?
  • Get professional advice from a coach and arrange for personal training.  There are some gadgets on the market that can help with the positioning of your swing, but having your own coach will help you with things like the alignment of your wrist, your stance and follow-through on your swing.  You will be amazed at the difference it makes.
  • It is important to understand the theory behind golf and your perfect swing.  Most professionals in sports spend a great deal of time on theory before actually starting to play and golf is no different.  You may find that the manuals and videos available today can help with your comprehension of the game of golf.
  • There is so much stuff and advice out there, that it can be difficult to decide what will be best for you.  Perhaps a training book of video on the fundamentals of the perfect golf swing would be best.  Look for something that you think will be a fit and start practicing the things you learn.
  • Speed and accuracy is what you need in a good down swing.  Use the arm that is facing the pin to pull the club down from the height of the swing.
  • In a back swing, work on getting a smooth continuous motion. The power needs to be supplied from your arms, not from the hands alone.
  • Your follow through or sweep should have the club ending up in a high position.  A successful finish is when you have transferred to your front leg and the back leg has the knee bent and facing the pin with the heel up so the spikes on the bottom of your shoes is visible.  Hands should finish as high as or close to the ear that is closest to the pin.
  • It can’t be said enough, only practice makes perfect, so keep practicing every chance you get and don’t forget to practice in all kinds of weather so you are prepared for anything. Many people have pursued the perfect golf swing, but in reality it is probably beyond the reach of the average golfer. However practice with a position and stance that fits you will get you as close as you can get.  The main idea is to have a fun experience with golf and relish every trip to the golf course.
  • Last but not least, you need to have the right equipment and protection from the elements. Look into purchasing Sundog Sunglasses which use the latest in technology with a Mela Lens componet. Purchase the right golf balls to suite your game and have some fun with novetly golf head covers!
